Wet Food

September 27 , 2013

A couple of months ago, Natalie decided that our kitties deserved lovely wet food. Organic, at that ($$$). So, we told her it was all on her. She was responsible for feeding it to them. She has been giving it to them in the morning before she goes to school. Ollie has become obsessed with it. He LOVES it! Lacey likes it, but she's not obsessive about it. In fact, we wait until she comes downstairs to put her bowl out, otherwise, Ollie would eat it. We also have to monitor him so he doesn't kick her out while she's eating. Natalie had been leaving Lacey's bowl on the counter. I came down one morning and saw this.

Wet Food

Um. Yeah. I'm pretty sure a large, obsessed, black cat was up on the counter. So then we started doing this until Lacey was ready to eat.

Wet Food

Ollie has become SO obsessed with the food that every time anyone is at the counter. He waits. Like a dog. But without the sense of time. He doesn't realize that he only gets it in the morning.

Wet Food

Fuuud?

Wet Food

FUUUUUUUD?

Wet Food

Burrito? FUUUUUUUUUUD!

Wet Food

And in non-food related kitteh news....

Wet Food

He cracks me up when he sleeps.

Wet Food

And when he's awake.

Wet Food

He's bigger than Lina.

More interesting sleeping positions.

Wet Food

Really? You're going to make me take this picture?

Wet Food

She always looks peeved. She could go viral as 'Peeved Kitteh'. Kind of like Grumpy Cat. I love that cat!

Oh kittehs!

Cat Things

May 2, 2013

Just because I haven't posted any cat pictures lately doesn't mean I haven't taken any. Here are some recent fun ones.

This is one of our favorite past times. I should have been a kitteh.

Cat Things

Have I mentioned I love Ollie's gorilla paws?

Cat Things

Stalking doves.

Cat Things

Lacey's face cracked me up in this one. Don't know why. I'm easily amused.

Cat Things

Kitteh forced to watch Kitteh video. Not so amused.

Cat Things

I've been trying to catch a picture of Ollie's black spot on the roof of his mouth. Here it is. A little fuzzy but, you can see it!

Cat Things

WHAT. THE. HELL. IS. THAT?

Cat Things

It's just the Fitz' new baby. Chill!

Cat Things

I think I'll use this one for my modeling portfolio.

Cat Things

Flat kitteh.

Cat Things

Flat kitteh, two.

Cat Things

That's all for now folks!

A Trip to the Vet

March 23, 2013

As you recall from my Bobcat Post, Ollie had a little accident with his tail. It's been almost two months and the hair hasn't grown back. In fact, you can see more 'skin'.

vet01

We finally decided it would be best to take him to the vet. When it was time, I couldn't for the life of me, get him into the cat carrier. Natalie and I tried everything on the pharaonic (dictionary word of the day - and spellcheck doesn't like it!) fellow. We tried backing him in, pushing him in and pouring him in. He wasn't having it. It might have worked had I known the whole top comes off.

Kitteh goes to Vet

Anyway, I found the box from when we brought them home as babies. I was able to load him in from the top and close him in. His sister was intrigued by the whole thing.

vet02

I knew he would probably be freaked out, but I didn't know just how freaked out!

Poor Puff. He almost made me cry he was so pitiful.

When we finally got to the vet, he finally stopped crying. Mostly because he was listening to all the other crying cats and the resident cats. Here's one of the residents.

Resident Cat

Here's another.

Resident Cat

I guess if you have resident cats, this is what your waiting room looks like.

Waiting Room

Here's a little girl up for adoption. She's cute.

Adoption

We're escorted into the room and I close the door because I really don't want to see what would happen if Ollie came across a resident cat. The nurse lifts the large slinky out of the box and he proceeds to purr and investigate. She's say, "Wow, he's so luxurious." Oh brother.

Ollie at the Vet

Then the doctor comes in and says, "You're so handsome!" Oh brother. She checks him and and decides that no amputation is necessary unless he makes it considerably worse. There's no infection, although the tip is dead and probably itchy.

He gets loaded back into the box and the wailing starts again as I take him to the car.

Kitteh goes to the Vet

Just a bit freaked out.

Kitteh goes to the Vet

Mama, please, take me out of this box!

Kitteh goes to the vet

Wail, wail, wail.

His sister is anxiously awaiting his return after his adventure and to hear his tails (pun intended).

Kitteh get home from the vet.

How did this box make you disappear, Brother?

Kitteh comes home from the VEt

Maybe it can make me disappear?

While we were at the Vet, Ollie got caught up on his shots and it was only fair that I make an appointment for TK to get her shots. She had gone willingly into the crate several times while it was out, so it was a piece of cake to get her in.

Kitteh goes to the Vet

Brother is curious.

Although she was not quite the crybaby her brother was, she did try to slash her way out of the crate once we were in the car and she felt the engine and the movement. She was only pitiful for a short way, not the whole ride.

She did not exit the crate and start investigating. The nurse and I had to forcibly pull her out.

Kitteh goes to the Vet

Then the doctor came in and starts poking her. She hisses. Doc says, "I see how it's going to be." That is one peeved looking kitteh.

Kitteh goes to the vet

She takes her back to get her shots and ultrasound her bladder to see if there is any medical reason she keeps peeing OUTSIDE the litter box. I meet her back in the waiting room. Oh look! Another resident cat.

Resident Cat

On the ride home, she was pretty quiet and by the time we got to the house, she was napping.

Kitteh goes to the Vet

Mission accomplished! But, somehow, I don't think this is going to end well for my carpet and wood floors.

Pussy Cat

February 11, 2013

I'm sitting in my office (aka Starbuck's) with all the regulars (Bathroom Guy, Wheel Chair Guy, Fearless Fly, etc., and TWO new annoying guys speaking loudly on their phones -- ugh!) and I ran across these photos in my Photo Stream.

This is aloof TK caught being sappy. I have photographic evidence that you are not so aloof as you appear to be!

Pussy Cat

And this is her, sleeping her little life away. Love the fangs! She looks like an Ewok.

Pussy Cat

You know how Ollie loves to eat everyone's hair? Apparently, it doesn't stop at the hair on your head.

Pussy Cat

Remind me never to take a shower with this cat around.

ROFLMAO

February 1, 2013

Sometimes some of the expressions the kittehs make just crack me up! This one had me in stitches. I couldn't even come up with a caption for it!

Kitteh Crack Up

Walking into a room and seeing this display always tickles me. It looks like two cats after a wild night of debauchery.

Kitteh Crack Up

He's just hanging there!

Kitteh Crack Up

Now this one, he is trying to look all grumpy. Reminds me of someone.....

Kitteh Crack Up

Yeah, him!

Kitteh Crack Up

Got toe jam?

Kitteh Crack Up

Then there's Lacey, who always looks peeved. She could give that Grumpy cat a run for it's money. She always has her lips pursed, too. You can see the light outline of them here. By the way, you can click on any of these pictures for a larger view.

Kitteh Crack Up

There, I filled in her lips for you. LOL! I should put her with the picture of me on the HOME page.

Kitteh Crack Up

OK, enough making fun of my kittenies for now.

Bobcat

January 28, 2013

The other day, a terrible thing happened. Natalie was banging back and forth from her room getting ready for school. The kittenies, as usual, are trying to get in the shower with her or go in her room and eat everything. At one point, she wasn't paying attention and closed the door on Ollie's tail. Ollie took off.

Unfortunately, he left part of his tail behind (excuse me while I cringe and gag and squeam out and then pass out).

OK, I've come to.

My little Honey Bunch dabbed the blood off of it after he swished some here and there. It look more like he was scalped and didn't lose any part of the tail. Phew! Poor little Natalie was beside herself. She cried and cried and thought he was going to die, even though I don't think he really felt it.

I un-passed out long enough to take this picture.

Bobcat

Ugh, blegh, ick (one of the many reasons I'm not in the medical field).

Then I started to worry about him. Don't animals hide in unusual places when they know their time is near? I spent forever looking for him and FINALLY found him in a place he never goes.

Bobcat

Puff, please don't go away to die. NOOOOOOOOO!

Bobcat

Even his sister was taking it easy on him and not being so mean to him. Poor little kittenie. I started calling him Bob (you know, short tailed bobcats?). My Little Honey Bunch said I shouldn't make fun of the crippled. He seems better. I hope. Can kittenies get infections from that sort of thing and die? How do you tell if a kittenie has a fever? Vets?

OK, going to go check on Bob.
