Happy Anniversary!

April 27, 2018

So, today is me and my Little Honey Bunch's 22nd Anniversary (I apologize, Grammar Police). We've been together for a quarter of a century! And I love him to heck even more! OK, I'll quit with the mushy stuff. But it's true. Anyway, I'll take a picture of us later to post. I don't have my face on and I don't want to scare anyone.

As I was putting together my picture for the header above, I JUST ABSOLUTELY BLEW MY MIND! This photo is taken from my back deck. When I was a teenager, I used to paint this scene ALL THE FREAKING time. In different colors, at different times of day. Twenty years after moving here, it finally makes sense. I was painting home. I am home. I am blowing my mind! Brothers, sisters, do you remember my paintings of this? MIND OFFICIALLY BLOWN.

OK. I'm settling down.

The reason I came here today was actually because 1) I'm 27 days late in updating my blog and 2) I got my green card, which always ends up being a story. (See side bar for other Green Card stories.)

Green Card 2018

So first, it almost went in the trash because my Little Honey Bunch thought it looked like junk mail. But then he remembered I got a notice that my green card was mailed. That would have been...not good. I applied for a renewal 6 months before it expired (last November), like I was supposed to. They said it would take up to a year to get my new one. WHAT? Then every time I tried to log on to see updates, there was a 'something has gone horribly wrong' error. I blame tRump.

I open the contents and I am immediately tickled by the Welcome to the United States, A Guide for New Immigrants brochure. Dude, I've been here 58 years! Then there's the card itself. Picture could have been worse. Then there a little card holder that reads:

We recommend use of this envelope to protect your new card and to prevent wireless communication with it.

Well, at least I'm good for another 10 years in case my citizenship application doesn't pan out because of you know, the incidents.

My name is Rosy, Chacha, Meez, Mama, Mother...take your pick. I am the sort of stay at home mother of 4. Sort of because of my Zumba and my Rodan and Fields jobs.

This is my personal blog intended for my family and friends and for anyone out there who enjoys a good laugh, likes to try out new recipes, likes kittens and loves Zumba. Welcome!
