So, I started this post on July 24 while flying to Orlando for the Zumba Convention.
Then I got off the plane and got swept up in the whirling dervish that is the Zumba Convention.
So now I'm back at the airport heading home on July 29, and going to attempt to catch up on July which mostly consisted of Eagle Lake and the Convention.
So actually, I didn't work on this at the airport. Today is August 11. I'll leave this July post up for a bit and try not to be too late getting around to August.
Ahem. Eagle Lake. We got our campsite by the water again and the above is the view from our campsite. Yes, it was in a tent again. It was fabulous! This convinced Lisa (George not so much) to camp at these sites next year. They'll be roughing it with no full hookups!
Now that I'm looking at my pictures, I actually posted the gist of the trip on Instagram (click here), so you can check out pics there. And/or all 287 of them on DROPBOX (contact me for password).
Here's a cute one. You know how the Straka Family Vacation Curse always rears it's ugly head? I held my breath until we got home BUT, NOTHING HAPPENED. Could it be that the vacation curse is finally broken?
Bocce season kicked off on the 19th and we won all three matches and were in FIRST PLACE for the first time ever! Probably the last time, too.
Amanda Villarreal had her bridal shower. Finally marrying Diego after eleven years together. AND, his name is Diego Rivera!
We had a St. Joseph's Reunion up in Napa. Went to the Silverado Winery, then to Sue's house for some eats. WHOA! Actually, this happened on June 16 and I forgot to post about it! I'll finish July and post the St. Joseph's reunions later, together. We've seen each other again. Unfortunately, at a funeral.
This brings me to the Zumba Convention.
I get there on Tuesday, the other girls arrive on Wednesday. We run into Beto right away.
We see old friends. Good old Wally.
We meet new friends.
Danced in all our sessions. Danced until all hours at the bar after party. Beto, too. I'll upload all of my pictures to Dropbox.
Then...tun, tun, tun. I fell.
Sweet Zelia realized I was missing for too long. She came and found me getting ready to be taken away in the ambulance and without hesitation, jumped in with me. She kept me company, held my hand, comforted me, got a Lyft to take us back to the hotel, AND, because we got back at 5:00 am, missed our morning sessions. I owe this girl EVERYTHING!
Of course I didn't tell my Little Honey Bunch until later the next day when I was on my way home. I didn't need to worry him unnecessarily. So the conversation went like this.
I guess we/I didn't quite shake the Straka Family Vacation Curse.
My name is Rosy, Chacha, Meez, Mama, Mother...take your pick. I am the sort of stay at home mother of 4. Sort of because of my Zumba and my Rodan and Fields jobs.
This is my personal blog intended for my family and friends and for anyone out there who enjoys a good laugh, likes to try out new recipes, likes kittens and loves Zumba. Welcome!

One of my favorite sites and one I'll be stealing...um...borrowing ideas from. (Hmmm. I already see my Nerd font is similar to hers. Hers is Edwardian Script and Mine is Beautiful ES.)
The website of a very talented artist who happens to be my son.
