Coldest June

July 10, 2019

Reporting now in almost the middle of July for June events!

So, remember that Aqua Training I took in April? Well, I got my arse into our pool and started practicing routines. I sent a video of me giving a 'class' to my friends as my audition. I got it. Started teaching Aqua classes at In Shape Concord on June 5. It's been really fun! I'm outside; I'm dancing; I'm getting a workout!

Aqua In Shape

We had our Father's Day Celebration at Gma and Gpa's on June 8 because that's when everyone was around. Gma's roses reminded me of my popcorn!

Pink Popcorn

We celebrated Zelia's 51st Birthday at Straka Springs. Of course there were several Zumba Instructors in the house so there was dancing. Here is Zelia dancing with her Father-In-Law as we looked on. There are more dancing videos but I'll spare you.

I was eating lunch at Costco on June 7. I look down and right by my foot is a penny.

Pennies from Heaven

It's 1995, the year my mom died. Hello Mommy!

I was carrying it around in my pocket for a few days then as I was headed to teach my class one morning, I noticed it was not in my pocket anymore. I was sad.

But then after class on my way to my car, another 1995! Was it the same one? Maybe. Maybe it fell out of my jacket pocket when I got out of the car. But I was happy.

Pennies from Heaven

I always ask my mom to watch over my kids. So when I went to Safeway the other day, stepped out of my car and there's a penny. It's a 1996, they year Nic was born. Later in the day I was doing maintenance on my plants in the kitchen box window. In the base of one of my mother's plants, was a penny. A 1976, the year Lina was born. Thank you for watching out for my babies, Mommy!

We went to Eagle Lake, tent camping, for the first time in June. We don't do that again. It was freezing cold and windy! But still beautiful! Nat, Alex and their dogs, Trigg and Tuck, came for a couple of days.

My Little Honey Bunch's fire building has, from hanging out with his Jeeping buddies. Alex had to wear sunglasses.

Eagle Lake Campfire

Went to the Antelope Lookout. Shot a snowy picture of Mt. Lassen. Mt. Shasta was really snowy, too, but it was behind some clouds.

Mt. Lassen from Antelope Lookout

I hadn't realized that the Whaleback (name of mountain on north side of Eagle Lake) fire, that started just days after we left last year, burned so much of the forest. It went all the way from the edge of Christie Campground to the edge of the town of Spaulding.

We found the Ice Caves, barely. Everything around it had burned down.

Ice Caves

I always enjoy hanging out with my Little Honey Bunch, our ride to the Marina on our bikes and our beautiful view.

Eagle Lake

I took tons of photos that I'll post on my DropBox. If you're ultra bored, help yourself!

Until next year, Eagle Lake. Or not. We'll see.
