September 2021
So, since today is actually November 30, I'm scrolling back through my August 365 posts (https://nerdintheburb.com/365/365.html#date20210801). So, visiting friends, doggies visiting me, construction in the bar/laundry/bath area, food, drink, bocce, Nat's new car, pool. Same ole, same old.
My Little Honey Bunch started the demo of the tile in the bar/laundry/bath area and the guest bathroom.

At one point, I was sunning out back and I heard a BLAST. I ran inside to see what had happened. My Little Honey was standing there, stunned, with pieces of glass stuck to him, blood seeping out. He had lifted out the glass shower door and it just shattered in his hands. Imagine if someone had been taking a shower? So, he was scared of the second door so he took a hammer to it several times and it didn't crack. He took it out to the truck, piled a bunch of other stuff on top of it, went to the dump, chucked it out of the truck. It didn't break. Go figure.

Anyway, he got it all cleared out.

Then he started the tiling.

Then I headed to Patti's place in Shelton, Washington with the Bodeba Babes.

It was just as gorgeous as ever.

Our first night, we tried every cocktail the Bartesian (like a Keurig for alchohol) had to offer. Needless to say, no one drank very much the following night.

Will post October in a few days. |
