October 2021

As I write this, it's actually the middle of January 2022. It's been hard to get around to October. It was supposed to be a beautiful birthday month with me and the Bodega Babes visiting Patti in Washington and celebrating my birthday in Maui. Then, Little died.

Looking back at my posts from 365 October, that pretty much was it. Washington, Zumba, eating, tile setting, house painting, Hawaii, Little, hurricane at home, more Little.

Looking at my October 2021 folder, there are 1,026 pictures. Sooooo...yeah, gonna just select a couple. We did a little bit of sight seeing during our trip to Shelton.

Shelton, Washington

Deborah took an ice bath.

Did a lot of tugboat watching.

We also binge watched two seasons of Ted Lasso, up to whatever the current one was. I still need to see the last few episodes. Not getting another streaming service, though. I was sitting on the perfect seat on the way home. Saw Clear Lake; Bodega Bay; Richmond, Golden Gate, Bay, and San Mateo Bridges; Cal Stadium; Berkeley and Emeryville Marinas; Lake Merrit, Mountain View Cemetery; Alameda. Beautiful! Here's one of the Golden Gate on the wing.

Tiling and Painting

So My Little Honey Bunch got to tiling the guest bath, bar, laundry, wine closet. It looks good although now they cat fur is way more visible. Ugh.

Looks good with the grout.

The tiling project started in October but since today is actually, January 16, 2022, I wanted to posted the finished product. He just put on the last coat of paint. So why did it take so long? Because he has a day job! He completed the Guest Bath (pics later), finished making, installing and painting the casings and base boards. And, voila! Ain't it purrrty? Those are the guest room and guest bath doors.

Door casings and base boards.

A few days before we left for Hawaii, the house painters came. Replaced rotten boards and taped everything for the first few days. It was weird not being able to see outside for days! You know how we have no window coverings!

This is what it looked like before.

And the finished product. Kind of the same, just reversed.

Harry did not end up getting taken away.

Hawaii and Birthday

The lovelies at my In Shape Antioch class knew I was going to be gone on my actual birthday so they surprised me with some goodies! They are the best!

Rosy's Birthday

I gasped when I walked onto the lanai of the room Adrienne got us and saw our view for the next 10 days!

This was me on my 63rd birthday.

Happy 63rd!

It so beautiful. The weather couldn't have been better. Low of 72 with a high of 84.

On the 20th, Adrienne and I were shopping, in the ABC Store. My cell started ringing and it was my sister, Boobie. She never rings me so I immediately knew something was wrong. When I picked up she was sobbing and sobbing. "They found Little dead in his car this morning." I was screaming at my phone, "No, no, no, no!" Boobie sent me a photo of some items in his possession. He had pictures of himself, nieces Jaz and Oli, Nic and Nat, Mel (RIP) and Paul (RIP).

And when I got home from Hawaii, I added him to my Muertos altar. My heart is broken.
